I’m a Gidion. I live in the twin city of Texarkana Tx, Ar. For twenty years the Ark. side of town school board have blocked us from handing out Testaments to the fifth graders. Our kids need the Word of God. We have had no problems with the private schools.

Please pray that the Ark. School Board has a change of heart.

I need prayer for one of my young adults who is causing chaos in our home. He is unkind, rude, and acts like he has schizophrenia, OCD, or some type of mental illness. He was one of my easiest kids while he was growing up. My husband is so heartbroken, and blames himself. I have 5 minor children, including a special needs child. We desperately need peace. We are trying to figure out how to get this son out of the home. He needs to start by getting right with God.

Please pray for our little nieces (ages 5 and 8). I have mentioned them before; they were caught in the middle of their parents' divorce and their mom is pregnant with her boyfriend's child. The boyfriend lives with them. During the Martin Luther King weekend, we watched our nieces for approximately four days (Fri.--Mon.) while their mom and her boyfriend were out of town.

During that time, we took our nieces to church and taught them about the Ten Commandments in Sunday school. When the seventh commandment came up--about respecting marriage and avoiding adultery--I explained the importance of marriage and God's design for it, which is a mom, dad, and kids. Unfortunately, our oldest niece was saddened because she knew her parents are not together. Then, when I described marriage as being between a mom and dad with no other people romantically involved (trying to explain how to avoid adultery in a kid-friendly way), my oldest niece said that was like her mom and her mom's boyfriend. I had to tell her no because they aren't married. I could not lie to her.

She became quiet after that, but the wheels were turning in her mind. While she was thinking, I told her that when she and her sister grow up, they need to look for a man to marry and to avoid living with him until they are married because that's how God intended marriage to be. I told her that God wants what's best for us, and that's why it is so important for people to follow His design for marriage and His commandments. She seemed to understand, and I feel like the Lord provided me with a breakthrough moment for both her and my other niece.

Our oldest niece is thirsty for the Word and our littlest niece, though still young, seems to be catching on to some things as well. We love them so dearly, and we wish to see them grow up into God-fearing women one day. We bought them a children's illustrated Bible to read together, and they agreed to do so. Please pray for their sweet, tender little hearts, that the Lord would draw them in and the seeds we spread would germinate in their hearts. Thank you.
