My oldest sister is no longer homeless after many years. Thank you lord!
I pray now for my other sister I grew up close with, she’s homeless. She still knows and prays to God, that she has told me and I am happy for. But I pray Holy Spirit can touch her, guide her, let her choose to live with family, rebuke the alcohol and drugs of the devil with Jesus who is King. I pray we can continue to have God, Jesus our savior make my family strong. It’s all only possible through Him.

I would like to ask those reading this to please pray for my in-laws. My husband is a believer like me and we hold biblical beliefs, but his family struggles a lot with destructive patterns and noncommittal/flaky views regarding the truth of the Bible.
Some believe in deceptive doctrines they think are Christian (such as replacement theology and LGBTQ affirmation). Some are noncommittal in their relationship with the Lord; thus, they identify as "somewhat-religious" and sort of just float around aimlessly, pursuing worldly interests and otherwise living a very hollow life. Some think they are saved because they were simply raised in the church and take part in certain traditions. Others allow destructive lifestyle choices to persist in their homes, particularly homes with impressionable young children (all between the ages of 4 and 14) who have already begun to mimic those choices and/or forge destructive paths of their own. Some of those children are supposedly raised in a Christian home, yet can't recall how many days it took God to create the earth (even though they can recall the lyrics to highly explicit pop songs with no trouble).
My husband and I love our family dearly and pray for them constantly. We understand no human is perfect and everyone sins, but it is nonetheless disturbing to see these things happen. We try to humbly serve them constantly and provide a Godly example in any way we can, especially for the kiddos. But it seems no matter how frequently we either a) pray for them or b) have Godly conversations with them with promising outcomes, the same destructive patterns reemerge or completely new destructive choices pop up, and then it's right back to square one like nothing ever happened. It is exactly like the parable of the sower whose seed fell on the shallow soil, or the proverb about the dog returning to its vomit.
It is very frustrating, and my husband and I seem to be the only ones who recognize there are very significant issues here with dangerous consequences coming to fruition in the form of divorce, mental illness, substance use, extramarital sexual relationships, drunkenness, LGBTQ-ism, and the like with young children in the front-row seat watching it happen and taking notes. To add insult to injury, these consequences are also paraded as normal and even good. Meanwhile, the Bibles, devotionals, and other biblical books we thoroughly researched and bought them as gifts sit there collecting dust.
We will continue to pray and will continue to do the Lord's work in our family, but I would be lying if I said my husband and I weren't brokenhearted and very frustrated from all this, especially because there are kids involved. Prayers for our family (and for us) would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.
