Our 34 year old daughter is getting ready to have a serious conversation with her ex-husband. He’s a very serious drug addict who abused her and was unfaithful many times. She moved out of their house a week after their son turned one, he is now three and a half. In that time he has been in various rehabs and/or sober living. He was getting weekly face time calls when he was at Teen Challenge however the day he graduated he got high. He sobered up and his weekly face time calls continued and every two weeks he would get visits until he started getting high again. Then he wouldn’t stay sober for more than a few days. The last time he saw his son was last July. He has been living on the streets since July until four weeks ago. Our daughter is praying for a miracle. She is going to request that he stay out of their son’s life for five years of sobriety. That studies show that boys whose fathers are in and out of their lives do so much damage to their sons. She will send pictures and updates to him. She is trying to protect him. We know without God’s help this won’t happen. Only a miracle will let this happen. Sorry for such a long build up but I thought the background was important otherwise it could sound very selfish. I promise you my daughter is not selfish. She has given up everything to protect herself and her son from this man. This meeting is taking place on Wednesday 5/8/24 at 10:30 Arizona time. Thank you for your prayers and God bless you all.
