I used to be employed by a liberal university and my director, who is now retired, is a very nice Jewish physician who lost grandparents during the holocaust. He and I used to have meaningful conversations about the Bible. He knew I had a love for the Jewish people. Also, he was very kind to me during a traumatic time in my life. I reached out to him by text to check on his family. He expressed that this war is extremely personal and that 3 of his cousins in Israel have been called up to serve.
