I was in scripture today reading 1 Kings 8, after Solomon had built the temple and then prayed to dedicate it and glorify God. As I read verses 44-53, I felt God was calling me to pray for the Israeli captives taken into Gaza. My husband and I had toured Sderot eleven years ago and stood on a hill looking into Gaza at the school, hospital and mosque where the security officer told us the rockets fired into Sderot daily came from. We toured the police station, held two of the spent rockets, and visited the center built for the children to go to after school, since it is not safe for them to play outside. As I read this scripture, I felt like we were back on that hill staring into Gaza, and was pleading for those taken there.
Last week after the war began, God led me to Ez. 34:22-31, reminding us that the Jews "shall no more be a prey to the heathen" and shall know that He is with them, and they are the flock of His pasture. Praying Scripture is so calming not only because it is God's word, but it reminds us He is never unaware of our needs, and He is always in control. We see the big picture, and can joyfully anticipate our Blessed Hope each day! I encourage everyone to please read your Bibles, in it we have the words of God, and it draws us closer to Him.

Dear Father- Wonderful Father - you hear the prayers of this parent and their cries that their daughter would return, to return to you oh Most High. Let Your faithfulness become visible Father, that the continuous prayers are being answered and were even before they were prayed. Let not your servants become weary but remain steadfast in their prayers as you Heavenly Father begin to restore and renew and rebuild relationships with family and most of all with you Sovereign Lord. Almighty God arise and contend with all enemies of the people you choose to give us Jesus and your word. Please protect the IDF members like you did me for 13 months. I am here only because of you. I pray that the IDF PRAISES YOUR NAME at all times as you inhabit your praise and where you are there is life. Remind the IDF of their training and to listen to the Holy Spirit. I pray that you would show mercy on the people of this world in these troubled times. As your return is so near, would you change the hearts and minds of those who don't know you, and those who are rejecting you. Please have mercy on the proud, the lovers of sin and those who are in bondage to sin. Cause them to realize their need of you, and make their hearts tender to cry out to you for salvation, Help the body of Christ to be vigilant and to not grow weary, and make us bold to share The Gospel with those perishing around us. Help us to be generous to those in need, and to be in regular prayer for our nation.

4. Sprinkle your water upon us, cleanse us from all our uncleanness and from all our idols. Take the stony heart out of our flesh and give us a heart of flesh, and put your Spirit inside us.(Ezekiel 36).
5. May all our flesh live to keep the commandments of Jesus Christ and witness the Salvation of Elohim.
6. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
7. Lord Jesus, please send forth plenty of workers for the harvest that you talked about(Matthew 13:39) and command that your intended harvest be accomplished among us.

Even for those that are against the Jewish people.Pray that God will place someone into their paths that will open their eyes and their heart to accept Jesus. Pray for all the families that have and will be effected by this war. Lord God, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, to ask that You give comfort to all who have lost or who will lose someone in this fight.
