Hi there. I would like to please request prayers for my aunt and my grandpa. I have mentioned my aunt before; she is an alcoholic living with my grandpa. Once living in another state, she moved back to our hometown to start her life over following a divorce, and my grandpa offered her a place to live until she could get back on her feet. Unfortunately, having been home for a year now, she has squandered her new chapter by completely succumbing to her alcoholism.
At first, my aunt tried to hide her drinking and would attempt to function and have a positive mindset regarding her alcoholism. She was even attending an AA seminar (with my mom there as moral support) and trying other things to distract herself, such as exercising and other activities like Bible study. However, as this year has progressed, and especially following the sudden death of her dog, she has completely spiraled. She holes herself up in her room, drinking like a fish, and won't move into a house of her own even though she has the money to do so. We hardly see her anymore, and when we do, she's drunk.
She takes sleeping pills in addition to her drinking, so we are concerned about an overdose. We are also concerned about alcohol poisoning, liver failure, and exacerbation of her cancer (which she was diagnosed with two years ago) from the excessive amount of alcohol. Most of all, we are also concerned about my grandpa's safety, especially since he can be found liable if she crashes her car while driving drunk because he is technically considered complicit by allowing her to reside at his home while she drinks. My grandpa is 90 and has asked her to leave, and she refuses. He has been backed into a corner and is being taken advantage of by his daughter, whose housing situation has morphed from having a place to live to get back on her feet, to squatting and living rent-free while making her loving father complicit by association to her dangerous alcoholism. Not to mention, he has bailed her out of jail once already and you could visibly see how badly his heart was broken.
We're genuinely afraid my aunt will kill herself with her drinking, and that my grandpa, a widower of three years, will have to find her afterward. We all want her to leave, but she continues to stay and drinks herself into oblivion. Prayers for this situation, that my aunt would either turn her life around or leave, would be appreciated, especially for my grandpa's sake. Thank you so much.

My husband is in prison for meth. Please pray his chains are broken by Jesus and he is redeemed. Pray that he becomes the spiritual leader of our family. We have a 13 yr old daughter, Grace and 2 sons, Grady, 11 and Wilson, 10. Please pray that he stays safe and is surrounded by righteous people. Pray that he is able to come home and we can restore our family and live in the Word for the rest of our lives. Please pray he comes home as soon as possible.

Hi there. I would like to please lift up my sister-in-law (my husband's sister) up in prayer today, as well as our two nieces. Recently, around two years ago, my sister-in-law divorced from her ex-husband, who is the father of our nieces. This has obviously created many issues, and of course, our nieces are caught in the crosshairs. My sister-in-law, though raised Catholic, claims to be a believer and received a Bible from my husband and me as a gift.
Recently, she met a man she has been dating long-distance, and over the weekend, she brought him to a Father's Day cookout so we could meet him for the first time. I have no clue what his relationship with the Lord is like, but the man smokes, vapes, and drinks among other things (tattoos, piercings, etc.). After having just met us, he tried to pressure my husband and me, who don't drink, to take "birthday shots" of some hard liquor for my sister-in-law's birthday coming up. Instead of sticking up for us or diffusing the situation, my sister-in-law "joined in on the fun" of picking on us for not having taken birthday shots for her last birthday, all in front of family and complete strangers. It was also this man's idea for he and my sister-in-law to purchase a giant bottle of hard liquor for my father-in-law for Father's Day.
My sister-in-law says she wants a kind man like my husband and their brother, but then says a man like that is "too boring." She proceeds to date men who are extremely arrogant (including the man she is with) and who are not inwardly godly, despite saying they believe in God outwardly. Having a truly godly man is not top priority for her, which is evidenced by the men she dated and the one she married. We know she herself has the outward appearance of being a believer, but regarding the inside, we are left wondering.
My husband and I are not happy, because of what kind of effect this could--and likely will--have on our nieces. We have tried very hard to counteract the lifestyle my sister-in-law lives (partying, dating around, drinking and marijuana use, etc.) for our nieces by exposing them to the Scriptures and talking about the Lord around them as much as we can, because it is clear they absorb the Word like a sponge and want to hear more. But, should this man move to our city like he says he will--even though neither he nor my sister-in-law have expressed any interest in getting married--and enter their home, these girls are in for a world of hurt. After enduring the divorce of their parents, they would then have to contend with another ungodly man as the head of the home, leading them down the path of spiritual apathy and with vaping, smoking, and drinking in their presence. It's deeply unsettling.
Prayers for my sister-in-law and for our two nieces would be greatly appreciated, because this has the potential to become very bad, very quickly. Thank you all so much.
