I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a humble request for your prayers during an incredibly challenging time. I am currently facing the loss of my insurance, which has placed me in an extremely difficult position both physically and financially. I have already undergone double hip replacement surgery. Additionally, I now require knee replacement surgery for both knees. The pain and mobility issues I face daily are becoming increasingly difficult to manage. Despite these physical challenges, I am determined to continue my education and finish my degree, which is a crucial step towards securing a better future for myself and my son.
This situation is further compounded by my responsibilities as a parent. My son, who has been a type 1 diabetic since the age of 8, relies heavily on consistent medical care and supplies to manage his condition. Without insurance, I am terrified that I will not be able to afford the insulin and other necessary supplies to keep him healthy and alive.
I am reaching out to ask for your prayers. Please pray for strength, guidance, and a solution to this overwhelming situation. Pray that I may find the resources and support needed to obtain the medical care for myself and my son. Your support and prayers mean the world to us. My son, Z, has been through a lot of painful trauma in his short 8 years causing an early onset of mood disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and now OCD. I’m his father and have suffered a lot of mental illness most all my life and now he is going through the same. This is very hard to see knowing my struggles are now his struggles. Recently, aside from everything else, he started obsessively washing his hands for fear of contamination. This was my problem until I got delivered. I hate to think this is going to be his life for decades to come. He needs healing. My other son, D, has a lot of neurological issues and now he’s started punching his head because he’s having intrusive thoughts. Our family has had many difficult issues for many years and we can’t catch a break.
But I will end this by praising God for the things I don’t want, because his ways are not my ways, and all things work out for the good of those who love him.
