Hi there. I would like to ask those reading this to please keep my husband and me in your prayers. Both of us are very strong believers and we wish to be a godly example for our family members, friends, coworkers, etc. who are struggling with, or lack, faith in the Lord. I am always itching to share the gospel with someone who will listen. However, just as everyone is, we are extremely flawed, so sometimes we feel we are either not worthy or knowledgeable enough to share the gospel with others. In addition, it is very hard to make leeway with the people in our lives because often when we try to talk about the Lord, we are not listened to. That or the things we say to those who are spiritually malnourished are challenged or overshadowed by unbiblical ideas from other pervasive religions/belief systems in front of those people. For example, once while trying to talk about the relevance of Jewish history and salvation to an unsaved coworker (who, at first, was very receptive), another coworker in the room became visibly upset about the Bible's authority and inerrancy, which derailed the whole conversation. Another time, a conversation about salvation with two unsaved family members turned into an unintentional debate about purgatory with a Catholic family member, which caused the unsaved family members to lose interest and walk away. Things like this make it our efforts feel fruitless sometimes. Overall, I am asking to please pray that we will have more opportunities to share the gospel with others, and that the Lord helps us to do so. Thank you so much.
