President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that the United States will end its annual $4 billion assistance package to Israel by the end of 2026, claiming that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally proposed the move months ago.  Speaking during a telephone interview with Fox News‘ “Fox & Friends” on the morning of the US midterm elections, Trump said the two leaders had reached an agreement to discontinue American funding while maintaining close military cooperation.
