Hello, all. Would you please keep me in your prayers? Currently, where I work, I am surrounded by a lot of people who trivialize, marginalize, and downplay Israel's right to defend herself.
I wouldn't go so far as to call them anti-Semitic, but they certainly do not understand--nor care to understand--the significance or importance of Israel; thus, they parrot the lie that Israel needs to restrain themselves and "stop the unnecessary fighting." That, or they say Israel's defense and subsequent retaliation is a "tit-for-tat" strategy. Yesterday, the sheer number of ignorant and spiteful comments directed at Israel (accompanied with laughter) was maddening enough to make me break down in tears on the drive home. Of course, I could not get a single word in, as people were practically falling over themselves to say something spiteful or shoot down others who attempted to speak in support of Israel (those individuals, sadly, crumbled and actually began to affirm the ignorant commentary). It was--and is--absolutely heartbreaking to witness.
Prayers for myself, that the Lord would give me opportunities to dispel these lies and educate people with a heart of love and power, and a sound mind, would be greatly appreciated. Prayers for my coworkers, that the scales would fall from their eyes and that their hearts would be softened toward God's chosen people, would also be appreciated. Thank you so much.
