We are to watch and pray for the Lord’s return. We will help you do so by keeping our eyes on the signs of the times and reporting them to you. Jesus chastised the Pharisees for not knowing the signs of the times in His day. So He wants to us know the signs today, for they instill in us hope for the future and encourage us to evangelize the lost while there is still time.

The Millennium and Pre-millennialism

First, there are people (called Amillennialists) that don’t believe in the Millennium (a thousand-year reign of Christ), but the Bible clearly says that there will be a thousand-year reign of Christ.

The Book of Revelation clearly says the Tribulation Period martyrs will live and reign with Christ a thousand years (Rev. 20:4-5).

One thousand years is a Millennium.

Amillennialists explain this away by saying the Book of Revelation is allegory.

A Lamp Shining in a Dark Place

By Jan Markell

We are just off our 23rd conference we call “Understanding the Times.” I began these in the spring of 2002. I had no idea what to expect! I had introduced some interesting people on my weekly radio program that began in 2001, but back then it did not have the reach it does today. Would people turn out to hear about current events and end-time issues spoken of by men like Chuck Missler and Bill Koenig, who I featured in 2002?

The short answer is yes!

These are the Times – Hal Lindsey

These are times of brutality, vulgarity, rage, and recklessness. We live in an age of pestilence, earthquakes, extreme weather, and signs in the heavens. This is the era of humanism, dark arts, floods of pharmaceuticals, and spiraling levels of mental illness. We are entering a season of uncertainty, fearfulness, and escapism. The spring of pride is fast becoming the winter of despair.
Everything on the list above is a sign that we are approaching the last of the last days.

On Observing the Times – Terry James

The Bible consists of–as my friend, the late Chuck Missler, used to inform—about 27 percent prophecy. Of that, approximately 14 percent is yet to be fulfilled. Yet only a very few pastors in the pulpits will touch on the prophetic portions. If they do, they spiritualize it or allegorize it to such an extent that they give their congregations little indication that these are things to come, in a literal sense.

Will Jesus Leave Us Behind?

After what seemed like an hour, although likely a minute or less, I located my mom and rushed to her side. It’s likely my mom and dad never lost sight of me.

If our loving earthly parents would never leave a short seven-year-old boy behind to face danger, why do Bible teachers today say Jesus will leave some of his followers behind to face the terrors of the tribulation?
