Jonathan Brentner — The general assumption in many Bible-believing churches today is that Bible prophecy is far too controversial and divisive to be taught. Many churches forestall any mention of the Rapture on Sunday mornings with a note on their website saying that “Bible prophecy is tertiary,” a word that the Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines as “of third rank, importance, or value.”
