Please pray for our son Isaac. I believe he is saved, but he does not know the Lord well yet. His Dad went through a faith crisis when Isaac was at a critical age, and quit going to church, out of disillusionment, and I believe this had a profoundly negative impact on our son's faith and his understanding of relationship with the Lord. He then entered the military and spent several years in an area of the country where the liberal mindset is predominant. He has always had a strong sense of justice, a strong eversion to "politics" is very intelligent but doesn't know what he doesn't know. I believe the Lord has a calling on his life. He has always been influential in a leadership way among his peers and if he were sold out to Jesus, I believe the Lord wants to use him, whether as an evangelist or just someone who boldly proclaims the gospel in daily interaction. Please pray for the Lord to convict him and give him understanding of the need to get serious with the Lord, to get him in the word, to teach him to pray. Pray for salvation for his wife, who as far as I know, was not raised in church. I have given her the gospel in a personal letter, but don't know whether she has placed her faith in the Lord. Please pray for our other son, Ben. I believe he is saved and walking with the Lord, has a prayer life. He married a gal raised Catholic, who has attended non-Catholic churches, but they and their young kids do not go to church. I don't know that they have ever even tried to find a church to become members of. There are so few solid churches any more, even if they were looking for one, I'd be concerned they might end up in one that would lead them down a wrong path, however God can lead them to a good one. We pray for God to send individuals walking close to the Lord, into both our son's lives and circles of influence, and that of their wives as well. I have written them letters and emails all through their years of (both) being in the military, talking about the Lord, scripture, my testimonies of what He has done in my life. Guys don't say much, you never really know what sinks in, but this mom's one most sincere desire is for my boys to love the Lord and know Him well and walk with Him. I prayed when they were still babies, that the Lord would take them back to Himself before they reached the age of accountability, rather than any chance the devil would get them. We saw parenthood as a sacred privilege and them as being on loan from God for just a little while. We made plenty of mistakes, but the Lord raised up two good, responsible men in spite of us. But I long to see them living all out for Jesus.
