My husband, J, has been involved with a woman, YY, half his age. Both my husband and I are seniors. YY, who has benefitted financially and otherwise from the relationship has recently moved 400 miles away to return to school.
My husband has developed depression: sleeps a lot, hardly eats, is isolating in his office, from his family, and is easily irritated. He does not acknowledge he is depressed. To add, two months ago J was diagnosed with 3rd stage non-alcoholic liver damage.
Tonight J stressed out and lost his temper talking about YY who called him reporting that she is very happy at the university, her classes, professors, and new environment and does not plan on returning. J left the house in a rage. Ever since his relationship with YY my husband's heart has become increasingly hardened against the Lord, against me, against his family. He is bitter, cynical, critical about everything.
I am a believer. I have a home church. My family and friends are all out of state now.
Please pray as the Holy Spirit leads. It all feels so heavy.
