There is a glaring day every year on my fall calendar. It is neither circled nor highlighted. Still, I am highly aware of it and sensitive to its significance. It should not be celebrated or glorified. We are familiar with the dark arts and the demonic. October 31st is a day when our culture celebrates and glorifies deception, delusion, distraction, and destruction.
New Age spirituality is not harmless self-help in church clothes. Steven Bancarz warns that its most dangerous elements hide in plain sight, packaged as wellness, peace and light that “looks good to Christians.”
“Satan wants to keep his identity concealed,” Bancarz said. “The point of coming as an angel of light is that an angel of light looks good to Christians.”

Every event unfolding today points to the soon return of Jesus Christ, and believers can live with clarity, courage, and confidence, seeing clearly in the darkness because God has given us “vision in the night.”
