When asked, “How is your mental health today,” almost half of the youth in Los Angeles reported that it was “fair” or “poor.” Statewide, almost a third said the same, with the numbers getting worse and worse as time goes on. The polling results correspond with the latest CDC data showing 40 percent of youth feel “persistent sadness or hopelessness.”
