The church is under siege in America too.
Attacks on the church take on a different form in the US. Notwithstanding, certain Christian progressive elements downplay or deny that Christianity is under attack in the US. There’s a thinking which suggests fundamentalism draws criticism because of its inflexible stance on various social issues.
While Christians aren’t being slaughtered here, there has been a progressive movement to silence (or mock) Christianity in the public arena and in schools.
The Muslim Unity Center, a mosque in the wealthy Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Hills, is hosting an “Interfaith Prayers and Symbolic Walkout Vigil” April 20 that feeds off of the anti-gun fervor created in the wake of the mass-shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland that killed 17 students in February.
“WND readers are invited to participate in the making of this movie,” said George Escobar, co-writer of the screenplay and Vice President of WND Films. “It’s a story that every person should embrace because it touches upon the very nature of God and His faithfulness at all times.
Recently, Jan shared her thoughts about the last 40 years she has known Anita:
If you are a gun-wielding jihadist, leftists will find every excuse to turn a blind eye to your evil and direct their outrage toward white, law-abiding defenders of the Second Amendment. If you are a gun-wielding, non-white illegal alien like the multiple-felony murderer of San Francisco’s Kate Steinle, the left will shield you in a sanctuary city and blame Steinle for being white, pretty, and causing trouble for you by getting in the way of your bullet. If you are part of a gun-wielding black mob torturing and massacring white farm-owning families in South Africa, the left will wag its finger at the families themselves and blame your savagery on their colonialist oppression. The left hates you.
In 2006, Israel and Hezbollah fought a 34-day war. It ended with the Lebanese cabinet, Hezbollah’s strongman leader, and the Israeli Knesset agreeing to the terms of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Among other things, that resolution provided for “the disarmament of all armed groups in Lebanon…. There will be no weapons or authority in Lebanon other than that of the Lebanese State.”
That should have been the end of an armed Hezbollah.
