The United States is at the "point of no return" on issues of faith and morality, and the common statement that a particular election is the most important of a lifetime finally is absolutely true in 2016, according to prominent evangelical Christian leader Dr. James Dobson.
There is something else though about Trump's presidency that strikes me and concerns me. The central tenant of Donald Trump's campaign was that he would "...make America great again." This is currently a cause of much celebration and optimism within America, and understandably so. However, this aspiration of "making America great again" presents a problem.
According to my reading of Scripture, American influence is absent at the time of the very end of this age.
It is hard to be proud to be an American today after watching FBI director James Comey magically clear Hillary Clinton of all wrongdoing. Sadly, Comey is likely to go down in history as the man that struck the final death blow to the rule of law in America. During his address to the media, Comey admitted that Clinton sent or received 110 emails in 52 email chains that contained classified material at the time they were sent. But of course there were probably many more.
Why has this happened? Our leaders are supposed to be working for the people and representing the will of the people. It seems to me that our leaders are now telling us the way it's going to be and we had better get used to it. In other words, learn to love it or you're in trouble, but I ask again, why has this happened?
The Lord said in the following Scripture passage:
Evangelical preacher the Rev. Franklin Graham has warned that much like the decline of the Babylonian empire close to 2,500 years ago, America may also be staring down at its end, unless it turns back to God.
Delusions are cropping up faster than weeds in what was once one of the finest gardens the world has ever known – the United States of America. But why?
It would be all too easy to say what this writer believes with every molecule in my body – we are approaching the very last of the last days as we know them. Before the reader flees away mumbling something about those darn doomsday prophets, consider these prophecies, which in fact, are promises.
Anne Graham Lotz, the daughter of famous evangelist Billy Graham, has warned that God might be purposefully hiding himself from America in preparation for a coming judgment on the nation.
"Our nation is in a mess. Why? Could it be because America is losing God's blessing? His favor. Could our sin be provoking His judgment? Judgment that is not necessarily in the form of a nuclear dirty bomb, or another ISIS attack, or an economic collapse. But a Romans 1 judgment as God backs out of our national life and turns us over to ourselves," Lotz wrote on her website Wednesday.
With a wave of his wand, Obama defies the law.
In case you were just enjoying the weekend with your family and not listening to the news, the world changed over the past 48 hours.
The United States has now officially become a Banana Republic.
In sweeping moves that gave the lie to repeated assertions by Secretary of State John Kerry that there would be no "comprehensive" deal with Iran, the United States on Saturday gave Iran a clean bill of nuclear health, lifted sanctions on more than 400 Iranian government entities and individuals, and swapped U.S. citizens held hostage by Iran for Iranian nationals convicted of violating U.S. export control laws.
This Christmas millions in the United States are crying out to Government to do more and more to fix our social ills. Instead of Americans honoring and placing their trust in Almighty God as our founding fathers did, secularism, bureaucracy and the god of the state (i.e.,"Big" Government) has become our nation's false Savior and bedrock (Prov. 14:34, Matt. 7:24-27). The notion that "Big Government" has all of the answers and solutions we need in this very chaotic and unstable world is a fairy tale.
Once upon a time, middle class households took home 62 percent of all income in America. Today, that number has dropped to just 43 percent. This is just one of the absolutely astounding statistics that you will read about in this article. Over the years, the middle class in America has been in steady decline. Our incomes have been going down, our net worth has been going down, the quality of our jobs has been going down, and yet the cost of living just keeps going up. As a result of all of these factors, more Americans are living in poverty today than ever before, and dependence on the government has exploded to unprecedented levels.
