Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) says he won't deny that he's interested in running for president of the United States, but he also says it's too early to commit himself.

On her show Monday night, Fox News's Greta Van Susteren asked Paul, "Are you considering or would you think of running for president?"

On Thursday, 138 nations voted in the U.N. General Assembly (UNGA) to declare a “State of Palestine” and recognize it as a “non-member observer state” within the international community. Forty-one nations abstained from voting. Only nine nations voted against the resolution: the U.S., Israel, Canada, the Czech Republic, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau and Panama.

If you can't lose with Obama's abysmal record, then what would be an impediment to him seeking a third term—and beyond?

I know, I know! I can hear it now, "Weinbaum, you idiot, don't you know about the 22nd Amendment?" Yeah, I do. For Obama to get around that would be like Houdini escaping those dreaded Chinese finger traps.

With the Palestinian Authority status at the United Nations upgraded this evening to nonmember observer state, some who call themselves friends of Israel as well as some prominent Israelis are applauding the initiative. In particular, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said he does not oppose the move by his former negotiating partner, PA head Mahmoud Abbas. Olmert says the vote will promote a two-state solution and help Palestinian moderates in their quest to make peace with Israel. But Olmert, whose attempt to give Abbas pretty much everything he had asked for in 2008 resulted in the Palestinian fleeing the U.S.-sponsored talks without even responding to the offer of a state, seems more interested in vainly seeking to undermine his successor Benjamin Netanyahu than drawing conclusions from his own experience.

About three months ago, Dr. Evans said he had word from very high levels in the Israeli government that an attack on Iran’s nuclear program would most likely take place between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15 of this year. So why didn’t those strikes take place?

“Israel was forced to call new elections,” Evans said. “You can’t go to war against Iran without a government, and Israel’s government was coming apart. A lot of this was because of the U.S. The U.S. was meeting with the opposition parties, trying to take the government down.”

The Joint Advocacy Initiative (JAI), a collaboration of the East Jerusalem YMCA and YWCA of Palestine, has released its special “Christmas Message.” And this year’s holiday season is apparently all about bashing Israel. “The birthplace of Jesus Christ has become an open-air prison,” they complained with Christmas cheer.

Late Thursday evening, Israel time, the UN General Assembly voted to confer nonmember statehood on the Palestinian Authority by a sweeping majority.

Even Israel’s hopes of putting together a “moral minority” of Western-country nays had crumbled, with France and Italy pronouncing themselves in favor of the Palestinian nonmember state and Britain and Germany abstaining. Israel, the United States, Canada, and the Czech Republic stood virtually alone in opposing the move by Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas.

That Hamas chose to launch its massive barrage against Israel after President Obama's re-election is no coincidence. He's given it every reason to feel it can act with relative impunity.

The president's unconditional support for two of Hamas' biggest enablers in the region — Turkey and the new Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt — clearly have emboldened the terror group.

PALO ALTO, Calif.--A United Nations summit next week could imperil Internet freedom and lead to a deluge of intrusive new national regulations, Google and a member of the U.S. delegation warned.

"We want to maintain a platform of a free and open Internet as a platform for free expression," Patrick Ryan, an attorney at Google, said at a forum organized by Stanford Law School here yesterday afternoon. Google has organized a new campaign to draw attention to the summit, saying some governments "are trying to use a closed-door meeting in December to regulate the Internet."
